My girls loved all of the unique activities and were able to complete them mostly independently. They loved baking the diya cookies and decorating them together. I loved that we were able to bring Indian traditions/festivals into our home and celebrate in a simple, but meaningful way. I also really loved the packaging, and still use the actual Diwali box to store Diwali decorations and to display during Diwali.

I loved having all of the creative activities to help us celebrate throughout Diwali week. Anya particularly loved coloring and sending the postcards to her friends and family. We baked the cookies and did all of the puzzles together as a family, which gave us the perfect opportunity to talk about all of the different foods, symbols, and traditions associated with Diwali.

UNESCO said it best: “[h]eritage is our legacy from the past, what we live with today, and what we pass on to future generations. Our cultural and natural heritage are both irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration.” EverydayUtsav’s Boxes are the perfect way for my kids to learn about their culture and heritage while celebrating Diwali even when they aren’t surrounded by it like I was growing up. The activities are all age-appropriate and beautifully & thoughtfully crafted. We love using these as part of our Diwali celebration!
